Creating the Work & Life You LOVE

that old sad refrain
November 16, 2017

It’s mid-November. I’m beginning to hear that old, sad refrain.

(I’m not taking about the holiday jingles, although those are everywhere!)

I’m talking about this one: “I’ll get to that after the holidays.”

That’s what this week’s video is about.

You can definitely put stuff off. We do it all the time.

In your mind, there will always be a better time, a more convenient time.

But here’s the truth: All of the pieces will never be in place. Things will never line up perfectly.

The time will never be right.

And another month… or year… or two… will slide by.

Why not start right now?

I like the phrase “it’s not the size of the steps. It is the consistency of small steps”. As a musician, I don’t see improvement on a day to day level, but I know if I keep practicing everyday, I will have improvement over the months and years. Except for double tounging where years of work has yielded no progress . . .

Grateful for your note, David. It is difficult to see the progress… so easy to get caught in the weeds… and so easy to lose heart along the way. But the the long arc is what brings satisfaction and joy. Except for double tounging… 🙂
