Achievement junkies have a tendency to go after a goal, check the box, and then… go after the next one. Without stopping; without lingering; without acknowledging. Without any sense of appreciation or self-affirmation.
And the problem with having a thing or a bank balance as your measure of success is that it’s easy to keep moving the target further out… always wanting more… never really knowing if you’ve achieved “enough.”
The marketplace is chock full of vendors hawking their wares.
It’s just that time of year.
“Make 2019 your best year ever.”
“Buy my planner.”
“Discover how to turn your resolutions into SMART goals.”
“Join my accountability program.”
“Enroll in my 21 day challenge.”
And, yes, programs and products are great to ways to help you get stuff done. (We sell a bunch of them!) And, sure, tools, tips and strategies can really help.
But they’re all for naught without the answer to this one critical question…
If you really want something… if you have a burning desire… you’ll figure out how to make it happen.
The “want to” is always more important than the “how to.”
